Bob and Roberta Smith a brief history.

Born in 1963 Bob and Roberta Smith aka Patrick Brill is a British born contemporary artist and graduate of reading university and the goldsmith college London. Smith creates brightly coloured slogans on bill boards and banners, "The slogans are usually humorous musing on art, politics, popular culture, Britain and the world in general and they often support his activist campaigns, such as his 2002 amnesty on bad art at Perogi Gallery" (1) ,

He has most recently undertook," a 2-year residency with The New Art Gallery Walsall, the Archive Gallery on Floor 1 has been transformed by contemporary artists Bob and Roberta Smith. Working in collaboration with Archive Curator Neil Lebeter, they have rifled through the letters, photographs and documents held in the basement of the gallery, creating new works and short films in response to what was found."
