"i won a scholarship at this art show. this was my piece. it’s called “shutter’ because it was based off an assignment i had to draw what certain sounds would look like if they were visible and i chose a camera shutter. i used plaster, wood, stain, chain, and black spray paint. it was a fucking nightmare to make this thing because i was hell bent on making it like 4 inches thick home depot doesnt exactly carry hunks off wood that big so i had to to a lot of internal structure crap and then i covered it with a veneer to make it look pretty. and the plaster mold was also a nightmare to make. but whatever. it got done. and there it is. [the people in the picture are me and my best friend]"
